The carved feet really set off this lamp very well, and the glass stem gives the lamp a stylish yet open feel. The white fabric shade is 16", and it has a 3-way rotating light switch so that you can set your desired lighting level. The maximum bulb you should use is a 100-watt bulb. There is just a slight bit of assembly required for this Waterford Crystal lamp that will take all of 5 minutes.

This lamp is classically designed and the glass stem will really fit into any contemporary or modern setting. And while you might think a Waterford crystal lamp is very expensive, you can actually get this beautiful crystal lamp for at discount at about $425.

If you would like to spend a little less on your crystal table lamp but still want to get a modern feel at a discount, take a look at this Crystal Body table lamp. This is a beautifully designed lamp with four glass globes ascending in size from top to bottom. It has a white shade that is made to give perfect lighting while not detracting from the contemporary stem. This lamp also uses the 3-way switch and a maximum 100-watt bulb.

This lamp is not cheap, but you can get it at a pretty good discount of $164. This is $85 off of the list price. Not a bad price for one of the most gorgeous lamps I have ever seen.

If you are looking for a vintage crystal table lamp with an antique look, we have what you need with this Vintage Table Lamp with crystals. This lamp has a crackled red stem that has a gold and slate finish. The remarkable hand painting really gives the antique looking lamp a vintage feel - like something you would see in your grandmother's house decades ago.

It has a fabric shade that disseminates the light evenly to give you perfect lighting. The 4 crystals require a Candelabra bulb in each, and it comes with an inline switch. Now this crystal table lamp with a contemporary crystal-like shade is very unique and modern. It certainly is the complete opposite of the antique lamps we just looked at above! This lamp is has a chandelier style lighting from the 3 glass "lamp shades". It has a slim stem and a round base to give it plenty of support. It is made of acrylic and steel, and the manufacturer says it is easy to assemble. It uses normal 40-watt chandelier bulbs which you should be able to get at any hardware store. I am not sure exactly what kind of lighting this lamp provides, but it sure is one of the most unique, elegant, and contemporary table lamps available!

I really wanted to find a cordless crystal table lamp that I could show you, but it turns out that there aren't very many battery powered table lamps available. So we will look at this BettyLou Cordless LED Lamp instead. This lamp is made of almost 100% glass and it will work in any contemporary setting. Since it is battery powered, one question you always have to ask is how long will it stay lit? Well, the answer is that this cordless light will give excellent lighting for over 7 hours. It has a very efficient LED light which allows it to provide light for an extended period of time which makes this battery powered lamp perfect for special occasions or even everyday use.

There is not really a discount on this cordless lamp, but it is still unique enough to be worth its $199 price.

Now there are different types and styles of table lamps that you can choose from. For example Tiffany lamps differ from other lamps by the type of shade it has. You can even break Tiffany lamps into further styles - Victorian and Mission. Mica table lamps also are becoming more popular with the fascinating way they give off light. Wrought iron lamps with their various designs and distinct looks are another choice.

Finally, don't forget about the lamp shades. Lamp shades aren't just an accent piece anymore. Many times they are the focal point of the entire lamp. Lamp shades come in various materials including silk, glass, paper, and metal.
